Holiday baking adventures

Nothing really helps me get into the holiday spirit besides baking, other than shopping, movies, or listening to music! Peep our creations.

Our fail gingerbread house.

I always, alwayss make sure we have a gumdrop pebbled walkway up to the house.

Almond chocolate chip cookies

Messing around with cookie shapes

Snickerdoodles!

Fresh from the oven!

Snickerdoodles are almost the perfect cookie--delicious and chewy inside with a light coating of cinnamon to top it off.

Definitely in a major food coma after all the holiday eating, but it's totally worth it.

Chillin

Finished my final exams, spent the weekend in San Diego, and flew back to the Bay after. This quarter went by super fast, but I'm glad to see it end... finals week definitely tired me out. It's really nice to just be able to relax and do nothing. I've been wasting my break away kickin it and watching TV mostly, lol.

Recently got a new camera so I've been playing around with it... upgraded to a Canon Digital Rebel T1i from an XT, so definitely see some improvement. Loving my new camera so far, can't wait to play with it more!

Happy (Belated) Halloween

I can't believe it's already November! Still in the middle of midterms... hope yall had a great Halloween weekend!

Still learning how to work with the remote, ha... These were from Halloween night and I dressed up as a flower. I love the ruffles on that blouse, it always reminds me of petals when I look at it.

Can't wait to be done with my tests (next week) and finally relax. The weather has been great all week!

New Start

Spent the past month or so moving into my current apartment and started taking classes again.

Summers coming to an end...

Cardigan: Gifted, Dress and Shoes: Market in Taipei, Sunglasses: Prada

I'm heading back to school in less than a week, meaning summer's really coming to a close sadly. I managed to do a little shopping in Taiwan, but definitely not as much as I wanted to. Been living in this dress this summer, I love it because it's just so easy to throw on and versatile.

pie candles

I love candles and when I saw these, I couldn't resist getting them!

Pumpkin pie and a cinnamon roll! yumm

Smells so good

Love em... candles can really set the mood right, instant relaxation. My roommate and I were obsessed last year. Can't wait to go apartment shopping with her! Excited to decorate and move into my new apartment in less than two weeks now!

jewelry organization

Finally got around to organizing my jewelry a little bit.

A very helping hand for displaying my rings, ha. Wearing some of my favorite jewelry that I picked up in Taiwan and Thailand this summer.

Part of my necklace collection! LOVE this case, it's so handy. I love seeing everything laid out and organized.

Huge fan of animal jewelry, as you can see. I store some of my bracelets in here as well.

simple japanese nail art

My godmother recently gifted me with a ton of nail art jewels and baubles so I took some time today to play with them! I wanted to do something simple to start with because I'm pretty careless with my hands so my nail polish always ends up getting chipped, cracked, etc.

Clear rhinestones

Paired with one of my favorite polishes, Sephora by OPI's Mermaid to Order.

What's in my bag

I love these kind of posts. I'm a huge packrat and always curious about what others have in their bag, so I thought I'd share what's in mine!

Longchamp Le Pliage in Mauve--one of my favorite bags, so lightweight and roomy.

(L-R) 1: Planner, earphones, MBMJ sunglasses, iPhone, Stila compact, KK waterbottle
2: ~Feminine~ pouch, pouch for earphones, hand sanitizer, Alba chapstick, KATE brow kit, Rohto eye drops, Za concealer
3: Wallet, ID holder, coin purse

statement pieces

Was gifted this necklace by my aunt and immediately fell in love with it. I don't really own a lot of chunky necklaces and it'll be a nice pop of color in contrast to my wardrobe of mostly mute colors, haha.

some goodies

Haven't posted in awhile because I got insanely sick and eventually hospitalized for a bit while traveling in Thailand sadly. Ever since our trip there, everyone in my family has also gotten sick, even after we've returned to the US. Been too lazy to sort through pictures but I've been slowly getting through them! Just wanted to show you some of the stuff I got.

Such a cute tote I picked up from Thailand. It's pretty small though so I can't really use it as a bag... so for now, I'm using it as a bag for my Canon Rebel XT. There's a pocket inside where my card reader fits nicely.

These two handmade pouches are probably some of my favorite purchases I made during my trip. I saw them at a local market and just couldn't resist taking them home. Love the patterns and colors of both pouches.

Lucky, for once

Today, I was getting lunch with a friend when I (unknowingly) dropped my phone in the parking lot. I realized this after lunch, went back in to check, and came out to her car, realizing that someone had found it and left their number. Grateful for the kindness of strangers... cancels out my bad luck.

Spent the day running errands, cleaning my room, and packing up my stuff... definitely not looking forward to a 12 hour flight tomorrow but excited traveling!

Peace out California, you have made me proud today <3 See you in three weeks.

July in bits

Carmel Beach

Love his eyes...

Martinez

Showed my visiting LA friend bay views

July has been a very relaxing month back home for me... really enjoyed my time back home, as usual. Wisdom teeth removal sucked but hanging out with some of my favorite boys after really made up for it, especially the adventures to Berkeley and San Francisco. Crazy three day food coma pretty much, but I'm definitely not complaining too much haha! Summer is going by so quick, can't believe another month has passed. Here's to an adventurous August!
